Who is this for ?.

The Baby Clinic is for any babies or infants self referred or referred by PHN/ Doctors . This specialized clinic is for babies under 24 months of age, queried to present with a neurological disorder or in the process of working diagnosis or who have been diagnosed with or are considered to be at risk due to the following:

Developing a disability (physical, sensory - hearing or vision or intellectual). For example prematurity, a syndrome /chromosomal disorder including Down Syndrome , De-George Syndrome, Noonan/CHARGE

dentified as a risk due to neuro muscular disabilities e.g. SMA (all types), congenital myopathy and other muscle based disorders or congenital muscular skeletal disorders e.g. spina bifida –cystic/ myelomeningocele requiring seating or posture care management early for spinal issues etc.  

This clinic will be lead by specialized physiotherapist who have experience to predict a diagnosis based on presentation and function , complete movements assessment and developmental checks, advise strategies early includes appropriate positioning / handling , advise on early stimulation , 24 hr care or posture management , tone or spasticity management recommending the right quality care changing lives in them.
