We are a busy clinic and we often have a waiting list for patients looking for a cancellation so that they can be treated as soon as possible.
We do understand that appointments will need to be changed and cancelled from time to time.
In our commitment to continue to provide quality service to all of our patients and out of consideration for our time, we adopt the following cancellation policy:
24hr notice is required to cancel or change your appointment.
Please let us know as soon as possible by email or text message, as this will allow us to offer this slot to another patient/client who may require immediate attention.
If you fail to attend a scheduled appointment without 24 hour notice, a 100% charge will be applied.
No future appointment can be booked without clearing the cancellation fee.
We will furnish you with an unpaid account receipt if you so require, but please be advised that these charges are not covered by your health insurance.
We try to organise bookings within 1 -2 week. If ye are looking for an assessment it might take longer and depending on type of services ye are looking for . We aim to complete our entire 3 step process within 4-6 weeks of your initial consultation.
Should you decide to attend SPOT for therapeutic intervention, you will be matched with a therapist that is most suited to your family needs. We will offer a weekly appointment time (or time slot), which is convenient for you. The assessment report will contain a recommended timeframe of weekly therapy sessions, which are dependent on individual needs .
After the recommended intervention period is completed your child therapist will review with you progress made and discuss whether further intervention is warranted or discharge, depending on attainment of therapeutic goals and client wishes.
Not necessarily, but it is possible. This will greatly depend on several factors including availability, the day you attend therapy, etc. Because of specific training, education, etc. we may also suggest a specific therapist.
Having an official diagnosis is not a requirement for accessing intervention at our services. However, completed assessment can provide very useful information to help guide intervention. We accept assessments that have been carried out in different clinics and by your local health services. Sending copies of these reports to us ahead of intervention would be most helpful.
Yes. All the proffesionals ( PT, OT , SLT and Psy) are professionally qualified and registered with CORU.ie and the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI). As a result, your diagnosis is recognised within the Irish health and social care systems, providing access to relevant support services.

Currenly we accept cash ONLY or bank transfer and perhaps to accept debit cards down the line .

Sensory Room Ideas for home & school : To build a therapeutic sensory space or room for greater brain development and carry over of sensory stratergies at home we offer ideas for school/home on request ..
We offer advise for school , proffesionals and families on how to create a space within access and what key items to use as per your child or student needs ..While it may take many months, even years, to acquire the equipment you need for ye child there are tips and ideas we offer that you can add to your sensory room without breaking the bank.
Floor scooters or scooting boards allow your child to glide in the prone and supine positions, it strengthens your child’s core, improves balance, supports activities that enhance bilateral coordination, builds your child’s visual-motor skills for reading, and last but not least, improves hand-eye coordination for handwriting.
Cocoon swing / lycra swing / hammock/ aeroplane swing / T swing / bolster swing can be key items to add to your sensory room to give them a sensory experience via vestibular and proprioceptive feedback , also for improving your child’s attention and focus while strengthening your child’s visual-motor skills for reading and tracking.
Physio or therapy or sensory ball is other easy item to add to your sensory room. It’s amazing how many kids can’t dribble or bounce a ball, which could explain why they struggle with reading and writing ability. If they don’t have the hand-eye coordination, proprioception and visual-motor skills to control a bouncing ball, they won’t be able to write across the page, track words on the page and apply the right amount of pressure when using a pencil to write their name. Different types of balls allow your child to cross the midline, enhance processing speed and can strengthen many areas of the brain.
