Welcome to SPOT Pediatric Seating , Standing and Mobility Equipment Trial Clinic

The seating and mobility equipment trail clinic is unique and initiated to support families trialing equipments for their child very early . We directly link with HSE approved company representatives to explore options for those who require seating and mobility in our clinics .

We will be running this clinics for all age groups to support with equipment very early and on requirements e.g. Heathfield chairs , Tumbleform feeding seat, Kaye or crocodile Walker etc . We also support children trialing out equipment in preschool and school environment.

We assess your child’s functional abilities and evaluate positioning of mobility needs. For example, we look at your child’s:

Sitting or standing ability.

Posture

Level of activity in optimal function

Means of transfer and mobility.

Body measurements.

Range of motion (Level of muscle tightness and stiffness or spasticity).

Upper limb ability for transfer and mobility purposes

What do we do?

SPOT clinicians link with Anthony Farrelly -seating and mobility product specialist from HC21 who will be a support team member to review seating and mobility equipments on direct request from families attending privately .

Now clients anywhere in Ireland can contact SPOT clinic if ye child equipment ( seating or standing ) require emergency review only when ye cant access service locally or therapist away . Apparently this is a private service via SPOT therapist and should have no conflict local service .
